Seafood is excellent with every type of curry sauce. People often ask us what the best for seafood is. It really depends on your mood or flavor profile you are looking for. Want a spicy seafood dish? You better go with the green curry sauce. Want something mild and sweet with hints of tamarind? Use a massaman curry sauce. What most people would call a "tradition" flavor is the yellow curry sauce. It is mild but a little less sweet than a massaman curry. Want to keep the yellow curry flavor profile but want to spice it up? It is as simple as adding diced Thai chilli peppers or some crushed red pepper flakes. No recipe is exact so we recommend you substitute your favorite seafood and veggies. Below is a great recipe we came up with.
Seafood Yellow Curry Recipe
Ready in 15 minutes - Based on 3 servings
Ingredients
6 oz Shrimp
6 oz Alaskan Crab Legs
6 oz Tilapia
6 oz Squid
1 carrot
15 basil leaves
1 lime
1 red pepper
1 package CurrySimple yellow curry sauce
Preparation
Begin by emptying the yellow curry sauce into a large pot (you might need room for the crab legs). We usually like to give the sauce package a little shake! Turn heat to medium and begin to warm the sauce.
Add the shrimp, crab legs, tilapia and squid into the curry sauce. The crab legs will already be cooked so focus on making sure the shrimp, tilapia and squid are fully cooked before serving.
After a few minutes add sliced red pepper, sliced carrot and basil leaves.
The vegetables will only take a few minutes to cook within the curry sauce.
The entire cooking process should not take more than 10 minutes.
Serve over Thai jasmine or brown rice. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
